This term we have studied rivers around the UK and the world. 

We researched the Amazon River and studied human geography around the uses of the river. 

We then visited Ashford Reservoir~ see our pictures in the Autumn photo album. 

Year 6 have taken part in peer mediation training, ready to help younger children if needed.

Many applied for peer mediator roles and now support children at breaktimes and lunch times.

In art we have studied monochromatic works. We started by studying art of the past, Thomas Minton and the willow pattern story.

We then studied a contemporary artist, Cathy Tabbakh, and were inspired by her bold use of colour. See our art in the Autumn Photo album.

Design Technology~ Bridges 

We have been researching and finding out about bridges and engineering, with a focus on Isambard Kingdom Brunel. 

After researching structures, the pupils in groups designed and planned their design. We then measure accurately, cut and constructed our bridges. See our gallery images for our work.
