Comic Art Masterclass
We were fortunate enough to take part in a workshop with Kev F, a writer and artist for The Beano, Marvel and many other comics. He spent the afternoon with Class 4 teaching us many of the techniques he uses and tricks of the trade! By the end of the session, we had produced our very own Class 4 comic book ready to take home.
The class began by learning that everyone can draw using simple lines to create a much more complex drawing. We then created our own character by using our imaginations and other comics for inspiration.
Once we had decided on a title for our comic, Kev showed us how to lay out our stories and how to use speech bubbles to show what is happening. Everyone then created their own comic strip using lots of the techniques we had been taught.
