World Book Day - we dressed as characters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
We have been making some colour spinners!

A little bit of shadow art work...

We've been using torches to create a source of light. We explored how the shadows changed in shape and size when we moved the torches.

We have been using clay to create our very own 'Fairy Doors'.
Christmas Decorations Week. This year we used 'The 12 Days of Christmas' as a focus.

We tried to build a house of cards! It was very difficult.......

Our new topic for this half term is 'Buildings'. As an entry point, we had a class trip to We The Curious to see what materials are used to build houses. We then had a go at building our own.
Our topic this half term has been I'm Alive. As well as looking at land animals we also studied the habitat of those that live in the ocean.

We searched the grounds looking for things that are alive........

In PE we've been thinking about how animals move.

Hopping, jumping, flying, slithering!

In our Art lessons we looked at some famous still life paintings of oranges and apples. We drew and painted some of our own.
In Maths we've been using apparatus to help us with our work.
During our English lessons we have been looking at the story of Beegu. An alien who accidentally ends up on Earth. We made some models, background scenes and recorded our own version of the story.
We have been looking at Jewish festivals in RE. We celebrated Rosh Hashanah by eating apple and honey. It was delicious!
