Testing shapes that float and sink

Using our knowledge of air resistance, we set out to build a device to slow down an egg as it falls from a height. Will our eggs smash? We used a range of materials and designs and prepared for launch!

This half term we have been learning about Myths and Legends from around the world and through history. We started learning about myths from the Aboriginal tradition, and focused on how symbols and art is a form of communication. Taking a myth from the 'dreaming', we used traditional methods to create an artwork telling that story. Please enjoy our online gallery below!

Read some of our Mythical Creature poetry. We have used similes, alliteration and powerful language to describe their scary deatils!

We explored music composed with myths in mind. We created our own with a written score and performed to the class.

Making the most of the dry weather, we have been getting ready to take part in an inter school virtual triathlon. Here we have been practicing long jump, standing jump and triple jump. We also tried to copy Olympic athletes by watching how they train and trying to compete in the triple jump! We worked as athlete and coach, watching and advising our friends to help them improve their technique.

“By working together in an exciting, creative and supportive Christian environment we will challenge and inspire every child to become highly literate, numerate, sociable and healthy, with a thirst for continued learning and a belief in their ability to become significant citizens”
