CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS 2007

We made lots of christmas decorations.

On Thursday the 6th December the Parents and Governors were invited to the school to view our Christmas Decorations.

Preparing and presenting these displays gives the children a chance to practice their fine motor skills and develop their art, design and technology knowledge.

Visiting all the classrooms allows parents to view their children's work and see the progression achieved throughout the school.

Class 1 produced a wonderful `hand-print` tree and some 3-D house for Santa to fly over.

Class2 used the carol `Little Donkey` as their inspiration. Isn`t it amazing how useful polystyrene cups and lollipops sticks are?

Class 2 also turned their role play area into a stable in Bethlehem.

Class 3 gave us some rather `interesting` turkeys and cribs…. and some beautiful stained glass and 'Christingles'.

Moving up the school, class 4 used poinsettias as a base to produce imaginative and complicated printed calendars. In addition they used their family trees to design `stockings` for Santa to fill!!

As always, class 5 excelled themselves with their replication of this years Royal Mail Postage Stamps.

The attention to detail in their cards and calendars reflects the high level of their ability.
