Summer Term

French Cooking!

To finish the unit on French food, the pupils in class 5 have translated a French recipe and enjoyed cooking it too! The children made profiteroles, cooking the pastry from scratch. Once cooked they filled, coated and ate them ~ they looked delicious!

Leavers Service at Wells Cathedral ~ 17th June 2015

So far this term it has been all about art! We have been studying style of art as well as famous artists. We have learnt about impressionism, modern art, printing and cubism.

Do you know who these artists are?

We worked on many pieces of our own, and ended the half term by hosting our very own gallery! We mounted, labelled and presented all the work ourselves, and then invited parents and families to visit on the last day before half term. We served drinks and nibbles, and talked about the work we had done. Thank you to all who came~ the children were very proud of their hard work!

Getting ready for the gallery opening

“By working together in an exciting, creative and supportive Christian environment we will challenge and inspire every child to become highly literate, numerate, sociable and healthy, with a thirst for continued learning and a belief in their ability to become significant citizens”
