This year Class 4 went to Staple Farm.
They saw some horses that were once used for ploughing and lots of tractors and other farm machinery.
They learnt about sewing and ploughing and planted their own plot of wheat which will be harvested next year and milled into flour for us to cook with.
They made vegetable soup using locally grown vegetables and had this for lunch together with sausage and mash and apple crumble. Lucky Class4!!
Other classes have been celebrating Harvest too.
Class 2 have been learning about all the fruit and vegetables we grow in this country and have read the story of The Little Red Hen.
On Friday the 28th September the whole school went to the Church for a Harvest Festival Service led by Class 3.
Earlier in the week Class one had been to the Church to learn all about this celebration.
