CLASS 5 - KALA ARTS

On the 22nd October 2008 each class participated in a dance activity led by an Indian woman called rhia, a professional Indian dancer.

We started off with a fun warm up including plenty of new dance moves! We followed Rhia round the hall in a long line copying her as we went. We performed the dancing to fun Indian music which all of us enjoyed!

After, when we were all warmed up, Rhia taught us a whole dance routine which was really exciting! It was based on an Indian story where we had a choice of being a tree, a little bird, a demon, a golden deer, a golden eagle and many more parts to play!

We all enjoyed such a great afternoon learning Indian dancing and are happy to have the experience!
