We recently went to the @BRISTOL Science Exhibition in Bristol. Click here to see what we got up during our visit.
We also took part in a Health Week. Click here to see what we got up during our week.
We went to visit the YMCA in Bristol. Click here to see what fun we had.
We have had a busy term learning all kinds of new things. In History we have been studying the Vikings and learning the reasons why and how they invaded our country. In Geography we have found out about the media world of radio and recorded ourselves making broadcasts.
Science has been fun finding out how materials change states. Here are some pictures of us working on experiments.
One of our themes in Art this year has been “PORTRAITS”. We worked in groups on different aspects such as profiles, facial expressions in black and white and also 3-D(clay).Also we created some surreal portraits based on the work of Picasso. Using a variety of media to produce many different effects we have been pleased with our results.
At the end of this topic we mounted our own work and produced a wall display showing a few examples of each aspect.
CAN YOU RECOGNISE WHICH EMOTIONS OUR FACES ARE SHOWING?
Another Art theme has been CONTAINERS. We made a classroom display of unusual and interesting containers.
We have been looking carefully at the containers and making “still life” pictures using different media. We are definately improving our drawing and painting skills!
Next we are going to design and make our own containers!!
