CLASS 3

Find out all about our recent trip to Fleet Air Arm.

During this term the children in class three have been learning about harvest around the world. They have visited France, Australia, Ghana, America and of course England! They have learnt about the customs, celebrations and beliefs, and the way in which people choose to say thank you for what they have.

To end the topic the children had a special Thanksgiving morning, where they leant first hand how people in America say thank you. They learnt about family traditions from Mrs MacRae who came in to talk to them about growing up in America. They had the opportunity to ask questions and write about what they had found out.

By writing their own thank you messages on autumn leaves, the children were able to share what they were really thankful for. They focused on family, friends and being healthy.

The morning finished with a Thanksgiving meal where the children tasted traditional food and made notes on what they thought of it!

The children completed the topic by writing about what they have found out and making a class book about harvest around the world.
